This company genuinely appears to prioritize its customers, and I would strongly suggest reserving a hike with them. Just last week, I was meant to embark on the Fimmvörðuháls trek. Sadly, due to unforeseen circumstances, I could only manage to hike for one day. I reached out to the company, and they were super friendly and came up with a solid solution for me. When I return to Iceland, I’ll surely book another hike with this outfit!

We enjoyed an amazing glacier adventure at Vatnajökull!! They provide special boots and gear if you require them. Our guide was both professional and hilarious, handling all our tricky questions before, during, and after the tour. Everything was top-notch and perfectly timed. Some folks might think the price is a tad steep, but trust me, it’s totally worth it!

On 27.11.2019, we went for the ‘Walk on the ice-side.’ It was an unforgettable whale of a day!!! The weather couldn’t have been better, and our guide, Antoine, was top-notch. We checked out the Black shore and some waterfalls, but the highlight was definitely exploring the glacier. Antoine led us onto the glacier and also let us safely check out some of the ice cracks. Big thanks to Antoine for a day we’ll always remember!!

What a fantastic experience from beginning to end! Our guide Hendrich was a wellspring of knowledge, skill, and excitement—super fun and approachable. He made the entire day zoom by while still fitting in loads of activities and allowing us to enjoy each adventure spot. I highly suggest Iceland mountain guides for making the most of your time in this stunning country! 👍

The morning we scheduled our glacier trek, it was pouring. Luckily, the rain let up right after we got there, and we enjoyed an amazing hike up the glacier, navigating through the crevasses with the assistance of a super friendly, skilled, and well-informed guide. It was a fantastic day that we'll cherish for years to come, Steve and Diana.

We had an amazing time with Icelandic Mountain Guides on the glacier arm. The trip was super organized, and while it was professional, it was also a blast and felt really welcoming. You could tell they were passionate about what they do. Our guide, Octavia, was simply fantastic. Overall, it was a stellar experience.

We made a last-minute choice to take part in a glacier walk on Solhemajokull. Our guide (sorry, I can't recall her name, but she's from Poland) was super knowledgeable. We chatted about how the glacier has been shrinking over the last couple of decades and shared a bunch of info about eruptions and what to expect in the future. We opted for the 10am tour, which we initially thought was a bit too early since the noon slot was booked up. But honestly, we were really happy with the morning tour. I would have felt terrible if I had missed out on this adventure. Leaving the ice was tough ;P

This is exactly the geology and historical context we needed to make our Iceland trip even better. Our guide was super knowledgeable, laid-back, yet attentive to safety. He kindly took photos of everyone. Walking on a glacier was an absolutely one-of-a-kind experience.

I had an awesome time with our little crew heading out onto the glacier. Despite the rough weather, our guide decided to hold off for a break in the clouds instead of calling it off. This was such a rad experience with an excellent tour of the tongue.

We had an awesome experience on the glacier. The company supplied the piolet, crampons, and harness. You don’t need any prior experience with the gear; they’ll show you how to use it in just a few minutes, and the trek is super safe. The team went ahead to assess the conditions and safety... those Icelanders really know their weather! The hiking guides are super friendly and knowledgeable. Four hours just flew by; I was craving more ice!

We had a 2-3 hour outing on the Svinafellsjokull glacier - what a fantastic experience, made even more special by the stunning sunset as we wrapped up our trek. Icelandic Mountain Guides were top-notch - the reservation process was a breeze and covered all the details you’d want to know. Our guide, Anna, was super friendly and really knew her stuff; she made us feel secure while also sharing her genuine excitement about the landscape. It truly felt like a private tour, rather than just being another group of tourists led by a disinterested guide who had done this too many times. Big thanks for an incredible day!

Our guide knew his stuff and the group was nice and cozy. It felt way better (and safer) exploring the glacier with just a few folks (there were 3 of us plus the guide) compared to other outfits that cram in like 25 people. Plus, we stumbled upon a couple of ice caves, even though this was mainly a glacier tour. The prices were pretty fair as well. What a fantastic experience! I’d totally suggest Icelandic Mountain Guides!!

We had a blast on our glacier trek. The scenery was truly breathtaking. It was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Our guide knew a ton about the region, and it was really convenient that we could rent hiking boots right there. I’d surely choose this tour company again if we make our way back to Iceland. Thanks!

This was an incredible tour led by friendly and well-informed guides. It was a one-of-a-kind and enjoyable experience. Icelandic Mountain Guides operated in a very professional manner and supplied the necessary gear. I felt secure and like I was well taken care of.

One thing to mention is that the tour was labeled as 'easy.' While the ice walking wasn't too tough, the hike in should've been highlighted in the details. For folks like me who aren't seasoned hikers, that part was trickier than I anticipated. All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend it.
